Lisa Beth Weltz, Esq.

Lisa was admitted to the State Bars of New York and New Jersey following her graduation from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in June, 1994.  During Law School she served as an intern for the Justices of the Appellate Division of the State of New York, First Department.

Since 1994, Lisa has been devoted primarily to the practice of matrimonial law and has handled complex divorce cases involving significant assets and property distributions. She has advised and represented clients at the trial and appellate level with issues concerning spousal and child support, custody and visitation and equitable distribution. She has drafted numerous prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She also has experience with paternity proceedings and adoption.

Lisa is a licensed mediator. She provides personal attention to clients and understands each client’s individual needs and goals. She firmly believes that a client’s best interest is usually served by reaching a carefully negotiated out of court settlement. However, she does recognize that litigation is sometimes necessary to protect her client’s best interests. Lisa’s clientele has ranged from prominent figures in the music, art and entertainment industry to professional athletes and prominent businessmen and women.
